Most couples ask what type of lenses that I use for their weddings. As a Massachusetts wedding photographers, I prefer Nikon lenses for all my events. The Nikon lenses are the sharpest on the market. A combination of prime and zoom lenses fill my camera bag.
Zoom lenses are very popular among photographers. They allow you to zoom in your unable to do so by just moving closer. It is also more convenient and faster to just zoom in and crop the photo as you desire.
Prime lenses are set a fixed focal length. Their favorites amongst professional photographers. The reason being is they are much sharper than a zoom lens. They are a lot less convenient during vacations compared to zoom lenses.
Their are many different off-brand lenses to choose from. The major benefit of off-brand lenses is their cost. They are considerably less expensive. However, the quality of these lenses can not compare to Nikon.
