The internet has made job searching a whole lot easier for a lot of people who understand where to look and what to look for. But what about people with limited internet knowledge? How can they know where to start search?
So what are they different types of ‘jobs’ sites on the internet?
Generic Jobs Sites
I’m sure we would have all heard of a couple of these. These are the main jobs sites like, Monster, CareerOne and Seek. They have a tonne of jobs on their sites and you can find almost anything – because there is such a diverse range.
Niche Jobs Sites
If you are looking for a specific job or location the a niche job site is probably a better option. So if you are looking for mining jobs in Queensland, then put that into Google and see if there are any specialised jobs sites for this segment of the jobs market.
Information & News Sites
Information sites can be helpful for advice related to industries currently looking for workers, or tips to perfect your resume or answer interview questions.
Each type of site plays an important job in the search for a new career – so make sure you utilize them all.
